has become so more mindful than before. Gone are the days where you could sit with a box of Ferro Rocher and wipe it clean at one go. Now you’d probably just eat one and hide the rest of the box. As we read and learn more, become more aware of what we’re putting in our mouth and how its going to affect our body, chances are you won’t eat half the things you used to before. With that comes the challenge of putting in that little extra effort to make healthier more balanced meals. This doesn’t necessarily have to be a daunting task, in-fact its just as simple as stocking up the right ingredients and then cooking from what you have shouldn’t be difficult at all. Its a lifestyle shift, and once you condition your mind to working that way, then its practically no effort at all. And we all have our cheat days … so its not like you’ve given up your weaknesses forever.

Its always handy to have healthier snack options around the kitchen, so when you’re hungry you don’t reach out for the closest piece of junk food. I find these Date truffles, which I’ve made before here and here extremely easy to make and such a great source of energy and protein. Also easily replaces dessert after a meal, ‘cuz all you need most times, is something sweet, and this more than fills the spot. They stay for long, make great gift, travel well and are pretty irresistible.
